When physical various parts hurt and think unpleasantly, the human being touches it instinctively and rubs and will rub it. And such an action performed unconsciously can date back to human evolution. Not only the human being but also many mammals rub against hands and feet by themselves and experience a wound. But, by what we human being organized these actions in things of long time and memorized, a current massage developed.
It dates back now more than 5000 years ago that the description about the massage appears in history. There is the historic record conveyed in Thailand in the times of the Emperor Chinese Huang-Ti. It was written down in the Indian documents Ayurveda of about B.C. 1800 as a method we healed a body, and to do firmly. The description about such a massage is connected with each culture and medical references all over the world, and there is much it, and there is it. In Thailand, Buddhism is transmitted in the form that priests of the Buddhism move to Thailand from India around 2500 years ago from now, and it is thought that the technology of the massage reached it with this.
